A little burning, some slogans

This one had all the makings of what I consider a message (video+text)  that instigates strong emotions. Let me say this once and for all - if you receive a video and message like this, even if it's from a person you trust implicitly, please don't forward it blindly without ensuring it is accurate. You're being used as a pawn in a larger move to create fear and prejudice.

The message:
Punjab...Some Indian muslims gathered in support of Rohingya muslims...burnt our National Flag raising slogans hay hay Bharath... and Pakistan zindabad in the middle of the road and in the presence of so many policemen...no policeman could stop them.
But a single Sikh gentleman with his sword ran towards them like a Tiger...and see the effect on those anti-national and cowardly crowd.
I salute the sword wielding Sardar!👏🙏

The video accompanying the message was this one.

Did you specifically see the national flag being burned? Didn't it look more like an effigy? Did you specifically hear the slogans "hay hay Bharath..." and "Pakistan zindabad"? Was the audio clear enough? On YouTube, it is also captioned as "Watch Two Sikhs With Swords Makes 100 Pakistan Supporters To Run For Life"

Watch this video now. Again from Youtube, but a news channel this time. Not that news channels don't have faking news, but it's a longer video and hopefully we will get a better idea of the context. I'm not detailing it here in the confidence that you will make sense of why the first video is misleading, dangerous and provocative.

If you received a video like this with the potential to harm sentiments, wouldn't you stop to find out if it is true before you shared it? Why would you blindly share it and be an instrument in fanning the flames of prejudice and hatred?

And I ask this, not out of a sense of superiority or self-righteousness, but out of deep disappointment and shame at the loss of common sense among my friends and family for playing into the hands of miscreants.

Oh and dude, if you shared this message, you actually called the Shiv Sena and anti-national and cowardly crowd. Yes, same twisted logic. Bazinga.
